Monday, August 16 was very successful. They harvested three and a half million stem cells. They need to collect 8-10 million over the 3-4 days to send to New York City for storage. The courier comes at noon to pick them up and deliver them to the "Cellular Therapy Laboratory" in the Big Apple. All of Ed's blood levels were good today.Tuesday, though, was a rough start. Ed has a very swollen left foot and lower leg that is numb. We may have to go to his primary care physician, Dr. Ryan, and have the leg/foot checked out. They will be giving him a Dopplar ultrasound scan to check out whether he has a blood clot or cellulitis.
